U•STORE•IT Access:

What are your regular office hours?

Office hours are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM on weekends, the office is closed most holidays.

What are your regular storage access hours?

Storage access hours are 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM daily, 365 days a year (including holidays).

Do you always have staff on-site?

Some sites have on site resident managers, other sites have nightly security patrols.

What if I need to access my unit after-hours?

Our storage units offer 24/7 access and drive-up units.

Do you offer parking stalls for vehicles?

Yes, some of our locations offer exterior parking stalls.

Do I need to bring my own moving supplies?

Not at all, we offer an extensive inventory of moving supplies at competitive prices for your convenience.

U•STORE•IT Fees:

What day of the month to payments go through?

We bill monthly at U•STORE•IT, the day you move-in is the day your rent is due.

Which methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, cheque, debit and all major credit cards.

Do you charge admin fees?

We don't charge admin fees on unit rentals.

Do you require insurance?

Insurance is not required, only recommended.

Do you require a security deposit?

No, we do not require any security deposits on storage units.

What credentials do I need to rent a storage unit?

A valid piece of government-issued photo identification is required for storage unit rental.

What is the minimum term for a unit rental?

The minimum rental term is one month.

What is the procedure for moving out of my unit?

Moving out is simple, all we require is a14-days notice with your intended vacate date. Just contact the office with your scheduled move out date: in person, via the telephone or through email.

Can I still access my unit if I need it after I’ve scheduled a move-out date?

You are always free to access your unit, providing your account is in good standing.

What if I need less or more space after I move in to a unit? Is it possible to upgrade or downsize?

Of course, with U•STORE•IT, you are free to transfer to another sized unit at any time, with a nominal transfer fee.
